An Excursion

The blogger and his partner made an excursion to this cedar forest one afternoon during the week in July 2001 they were staying with Edmund White and his partner at their house in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The high points of those days–for the blogger–were listening to Edmund read from the novel he was writing (Fanny: A Fiction) and having dinner with our hosts and James Lord at Oustau de Baumanière (2 Michelin stars) in Les Baux.
