Written on the Reverse:

“La Grange Illinois / Ginger came to us in September 1953. Some one put her in our car while we were stopped at the drycleaners. She was just a bundle of fur and so cuddley becoming almost as one person. She loved riding in the car – making 3 trips to Memphis and two to Knoxville during her life time. In 1962 she came down with diabetes and was given Protamin Zink Insulin 1/2 [illegible] weight and dieted – She never seem to mind the injections and seem to know it was a part of what made her live. She died May 13, 1964. / Owner the Leonard […..] family / – She was loved –”
